What Have I Been Doing?

So some of you are wondering why I haven’t been posting much lately and rightly you should. I think a bit of explanation is in order in response to this comment:

“Great job, but where's the new stuff? I mean, I know it takes you army guys a while to think things through, but seriously...”

Well besides figuring out how to live as a civilian and growing a beard, I am taking 27 credit hours this quarter, working on completing the new website that should be out soon, writing some posts for the new site, doing interviews for radio and TV, and I just took the LSAT in order to apply for law school this year. I know it isn’t the same as fooling around with planes and eating steak and lobster everyday in the rear Chicpilot, but it’ll do;)

But seriously though, I have been chomping at the bit to tell you exactly why the defeatist democrats, who utter such things like Iraq being “the worst foreign policy mistake in the history of this country” as Harry Reid did, are as anti-American as you can get. (Where was I when Iraq surpassed even Vietnam as the worst foreign policy mistake ever?)

I have been wanting to defend soldiers against such lowlifes as William Arkin, James Walcott, and Matt “I played a soldier on TV” Damon, but it will have to wait for the new site.

If you guys stay with me through the thin posting times it would be much appreciated. Meanwhile visit Michael Yon, Bill Roggio, and Buck Sargent who are all doing ample posting.

Aw, now I feel like a jerk. Good luck with the tough course load, and I promise to lay off the trash talk... for a little while. But I definatly don't eat steak or lobster "in the rear" as you say. If I see much of the world outside my house and my squadron, I'll let you know how it is.

We like missbirdlegs, Tim. She always hits the nail on the head with few words. So ditto, missbirdlegs. I commented on your last blog this morning and you will see there, Tim, how we feel about you and about this war. Thank you for every single thing you are doing and we are not deserters. We will be here ..come what may. The men you mentioned are doing a fantastic job of getting the word out. In times like these we need strong men and strong women to support them. May God be gracious and give our country both.
With much appreciation.

We're hangin' in Tim. And I already read Yon and Roggio regularly. And now I'm a big fan of Pat Dollard thanks to you.

Cheers.

Consul-At-Arms is good too. He just made a comment on Bucks site so we read him. Good Blog.

Oh t.f., you can't think we won't stick with you...we are your faithful! We'll be here when you have the time to post, and I really look forward to your new site and your insight. :)

As my Mom would say, "good things are worth waiting for".

You weekend warrior chickenblawker. I will never read you again.

Buck Sargent (at www.bucksargent.net) will now receive all my attention, and rightly so.

Good night, and good luck.

27 credit hours! I can't imagine you have much time for anything else, much less blog too. I am sure your fan club of middle-aged women will be patient - we are an understanging lot:)

What's a chickenblawker? Is that an insult? Wow Tim....your weekend was long....seemed more like 2 years in Iraq! Maybe when you're having fun a weekend just seems longer.

Do you realize Tim has only been nominated 4 times for the Milbloggies and the deadline is tomorrow Feb 21. Go here to nominate:http://www.milblogging.com/listingDetail.php?id=1380

Aww shucks, thanks faithful readers. I guess there are worse places you could go to than Buck Sargent's place so that isn't too bad.

Rita Loca said...

If you ca handle 27 credit hours, we can handle the wait.

T. F. Boggs said...

So basically you aren't sure whether or not you can wait and question your idea to wait in the first place. Everday you wonder why it is you read my site and tell yourself that only an idiot would do so. Something like that?

Just kidding of course.

Too funny t.f.

Hey you were quoted in a Michelle Malkin article...you may already know that but just in case... (it's at the very end of the article)

http://www.gopusa.com/commentary/mmalkin/2007/mm_02211.shtml

T.F. Boggs, a sergeant in the Army Reserves who recently returned from his second deployment to Iraq, summed it up: "We have come so far since the early days of the war that the armor issue is a joke. Only those who don't have a clue about the reality of the war in Iraq make it an issue."

All the way, every day! Hardcore Ranger!

I know how you feel about Damon. If I chance to meet a certain Senator Kerry on the street, we can have a delightful conversation about the brave men who fought in Viet Nam!

It's kinda' nice to sit back and watch a brilliant career take form!

Take care buddy!

(((HUGS))) we're here! :) Hang in there as you get back into life in the world again, and stay so super busy! Yikes... i'm only taking SIX credits this semester and it's kickin by butt, lol!!!!! I'm MOST impressed by your academic greatness, hehe! :)

Ok, I'm done holding back... how's the beard going? While its been grownin' I've been working. I might not be on the front lines out there, (as much as I want to be) but I'm still putting in my time training the next warfighters... Yon rocks. Resist the hippieness.

Would never leave you, Sgt.!!!!

Alas, how difficult it must be to be a student AND a media darling all at once.

I commend you on your ability to juggle all while serving the greater good.

27 credits. Is that the all?????? Seriously, I never figured you to be such an underachiever.

I didn't seem to read anywhere that you've had time to fit in the chicks. Are you holdin' out on us???

Excited to hear about you working with Pat! Will get some money to him--definitely a worthy cause.

T. F. Boggs said...

Okay chicpilot, you got me. I am a full fledged anti-war hippy now. But isn't that an inevitablitiy of attending college? Actually the beard is gone because I have to start drilling again. U.ncle S.am A.in't R.eleased M.e Y.et.

Not to discredit you in anyway. I understand we need pilots to protect middle America, no hard feelings;)

Alas no girls just yet. Actually it is hard to fit in girls when you have such more interesting topics such as The History of the English Language, American Lit, Creative Writing etc. No girl will come before me and my edumacation.

The new site is coming along and I don't think it will be too much longer now. I have been working on posts for the release. Worry not, you guys will be the first to know. And I'll be sure to offer you stock before I go public since you have been with me for so long.

Tim,
Have heard that most female pilots have beards too. :)

chic[k]pilot said...

OH. No. He. Didn't. Are you scared? Is that why you remained anonymous? Don't cross a chick fighter pilot. I have ways and can put a GBU-10 through your bedroom window. Well, someday.... and if I kept grudges.... but I don't. Damn. You should still be afraid!

Anonymous said...

Just wanted to see if you can take as good as you give Chick pilot. Sort of a stress test. :)

chic[k]pilot said...

Its that Chuck? He is always trying to get me riled up.... That was pretty funny, but the only way to get me really mad is to talk bad about my dad, and he's a 25 yr former Viper pilot and he's served in Iraq multiple times. The only insults I'd get here would be from trolls.... I would hope. Otherwise, there's be a GBU-10 through your window.

Anonymous said...

My father was a brain surgeon but I can't seem to get anybody to let me work on them. Hummm. Go Chuck!

Anonymous said...

she has a GBU-10 up her butt.

Does it get any more stimulating than The History of the English Language and Creative Writing?

Forgot to wish you luck on those LSAT's. I know you'll ace them!

Anonymous said...

Hope your LSAT score is what you hope and then some. I remember taking that test like it was yesterday. You'll do great in law school, I'm sure!!! :)
