Check This Out

I found a great video at Hot Air that I think everyone should watch. It parallels what I have been talking about in my last couple of posts. It is a good reminder why we need to be cautious with what we print for the whole world to see. I hope the editors of the NYT take a long hard look at what has happened in their own city over the past 16 years. I am a firm believer that if we forget history we are doomed to repeat it.

Thanks Tim. A great reminder to those with a short memory. Makes you hate the Times even more than before watching it for being such traitors to all of us. Hope everybody watches it. We have to stop the pro-terrorists NY Times.A&N

I hope that more people will see this and take the hint!

Here in Israel, the average suicide attack costs around $100 in materials and expenses. No amount of Swift tracking will stop those. Even the average Palestinian can obtain a rifle and ammunition for around one months wages. Its a cash economy mostly as well.

Adrian - -Thanks for the input from Israel. Something we should all think about. Maybe some attacks like 9/11 take big money but death can be delivered cheaply when terrorists live in your back yard.

I think Sept. 11 cost about $50,000 or so, if I remember correctly...

Was anyone really surprised by Sept. 11? I sure wasn't. I mean, we knew about Al Qaeda, we knew the WTC was a likely target...but the FBI and the INS screwed up; they didn't coordinate and they didn't act on the information they had...no matter how many secret spying programs you have, human error and laziness will lead to security lapses.

The left politicized the war? I remember G.W. Bush using Sept. 11 images in his re-election campaign. I found this tasteless and so did many others.

As someone who lived through Sept. 11 in New York City, I always find it disturbing to watch again and again those images of the towers falling. It's occurred to me that people who don't live here didn't really feel emotionally impacted and it doesn't bother them to watch the scene again and again...in fact maybe they enjoy it...perhaps it gives them a sense of righteous anger that they enjoy...I'd rather not re-traumatize myself by watching those scenes again.

I know I told you I wasn't going to comment anymore on your blog Tim, but since I live in New York City I thought I had a right to comment on this post.

Correction: The Sept. 11 attacks cost approximately $400,000. I guess that includes the living expenses for the hijackers while in the U.S.

Why don't you just take that $400,000 and stuff it Elizabeth. You don't know how any of us feel who live outside of New York City and to tell you the truth you are a pain in the rear!!!!!

There is no comparison between watching something on tv and living through it.
