Conversation Part 2

Two things I noticed. One, he says that he thinks that Iraq will split. Then he says that things will be the same in 5 to 10 years. Ignoring the obvious contradiction in these two statements, one has to wonder if this is the scenario that the Bush adminsitration anticipated.

I would argue it is not.

Sometimes it's hard to have hope that things will get better...perhaps that could be the reason for the contradictory statement? Not sure.

I don't think this would be the scenario the Bush administration anticipated.
Completely aside from that point is a need for a positive outlook and effort for what to do in the future in the midst of the ever-changing landscape that is Iraq.

Hey this was a really cool interview. I wish that you could conduct this same interview with a 1000 Iraqis to get a feel for the overall majority. Though from what you report from the ones you come into contact with, he echoed the same feelings.
