Lions, Tigers, and Commies oh my!

So I made it to the desert safely but along the way I had a funny thing happen. We started to fly over the ocean but had to turn back due to strong weather. So instead of flying back to the states we flew to Canada for a brief layover. As we entered the airport I saw about 10 people wearing Che Guevera shirts and berets with red stars pinned to them. Turns out it was a group of Russian Communists returning from a fun-filled trip to Cuba. Now they weren't too happy to see a company of American soldiers, and certainly were not happy about the idea of having their picture taken with one of them so they left a few minutes after we got there.
I got to thinking about how ignorant people have to be to still follow and worship famous Communist leaders. Not only have they killed millions of people but we have fought to stop the spread of Communism numerous times. Anyrate it was ironic to be traveling to Iraq and have to stop and see a group of Castro loving Commies along the way.
All is well in the desert and I should start posting more regularly in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Good to hear you made it safely. The world is full of surprises. What people used to be ashamed of and snuck around behind closed doors to do, they now do openly with much arrogance. Does that make the world more free and tolerant or just dumber and more dangerous. Hope you felt proud and thankful to be in the US Army rather than trying to get attention drawn to your pointy stars and pointy heads to match! Please take care of yourselves and remember safety first! We are proud of you and grateful for what you are doing, T.F Boggs and crew. Thanks for the interesting story of the commies. We'll keep a close lookout for them and similar types around here. Be thinking of you.

Hey Bogginator!
Glad to hear that you made it safely! Very interesting about the communists! I agree with what A&N said. Look out for those lions and tigers as well! Remember how Daniel dealt with the lions when you are "dealing" with the terrorists as you travel down the yellow sand road. I have a request---if you have time in your next (or any) blog, will you comment on the morale of the men in your unit? Just if you want to. If you have a mailing adress you wouldn't mind posting also we will send goodies for you and your buddies. You are doing great Boggs! Keep it up! Be safe.

I think some of you were curious to see pictures of my brother...well you can see a few of him on my faux-blog. I posted them for him so he could post them on his, but I guess he is a little busy these days. The pics are on the unecessaryblog.blogspot.com if you were wondering.
